Presentation

 
Founded in 2002 and inaugurated in 2003, Vincent Wright chair is a visiting professorship whose objective is to promote academic and scientific exchange between France and Great Britain, visited yearly by a professor at Sciences Po and a professor in a British university. The Chair aims to encourage European and comparative research to facilitate the development of joint projects between Sciences Po and British universities.
 
Vincent Wright (1937-1999)  
 
Vincent Wright was one of the intellectuals of Europe's most original and most respected of the second half of the twentieth century, both historian and political scientist, and comparative. English by birth, by nationality and its culture, however, he assiduously and passionately devoted to policy analysis in France and particularly the history of the French administration. He is best known for its innovative spirit, humour and intellectual curiosity.
 
Student at the London School of Economics and Political Science, he studied too at Sciences Po. He was Lecturer in Bordeaux, in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Reader at the London School of Economics and, finally, Official Fellow of Nuffield College, Oxford.
 

Visiting modalities

 
A professor from UK University or research institution is selected every year. The holder come six months (January-June) to Sciences Po and enjoys the status of Visiting Professor. The courses offered are held in the College of Sciences Po and / or within the Master's programs.
